Celebrate Summer On The Long Beach Waterfront

Long Beach is all about living by the ocean! Beaches, bike paths and boardwalks beckon! But there’s so much more to discover! Hit the heights with a parasailing adventure! Tour the canals of Naples Islands on a Gondola Getaway, take a sailing lesson, or peddle along the shoreline on a whimsical swan boat. Visit the sea otters and jellies at Aquarium of the Pacific. Or just kick back and enjoy the glorious sunset! The choices are endless when you celebrate summer on the Long Beach waterfront!

Go To The Beach

The City of Long Beach has reopened all public beaches for active recreational activities. Beaches will open daily from sunrise to sunset for solo or family members of the same household to use for recreation, including swimming, kayaking, walking and running, kitesurfing, and similar active recreational activities. All gatherings of any size are not allowed at beaches and parks, including events, athletic competitions, youth camps and recreational programming. Parking lots and the pier will remain closed to the public. Residents who have been issued special parking permits in an effort to ease parking congestion will still be able to use those spaces. Check beach signage for guidelines.

Gondola Getaway  5437 E Ocean Blvd. Long Beach, CA 90803

Tour the canals of Naples Islands in a real gondola! Gondola Getaway was founded back in 1982 with the concept of bringing the Old World charm of the “Gondola” back into the canals of Naples Islands. Gondolas were first introduced into the area back in 1903 when the Islands were developed into a Venetian style neighborhood, replete with grand canals and romantic bridges. Over the past 35+ years, Gondola Getaway has strived to bring authenticity and a high level of service to its guests. To help facilitate the authenticity, they train a team to take to Venezia each year to row and race with the Venetians – the only American team to do so for the past 33 years!
