Light the Night in Dazzling Downtown Long Beach!

Downtown Long Beach comes alive after dark, with some of the best bars, clubs, restaurants, and live entertainment in Southern California! Downtown Long Beach Alliance hosts a series of Signature Events, such as Live After Five, a free community event, along with music festivals and other celebrations. Live After Five

 

Live After 5 is a free event taking place on the Third Thursday of every month from 5pm – 9pm, sponsored by Downtown Long Beach Alliance. This fun, pet-friendly outing highlights downtown neighborhoods, bringing live music, art activations, entertainment and opportunities for community engagement to life. Start at the Loop! On Ocean and Pine – this will be the hub of each event and will feature music, food and a beer garden. Each of the Live After 5 events provides a free open-air trolley, transporting attendees between The Loop and the downtown highlighted neighborhood of the month, offering a fun, easy and safe way to experience your downtown adventure!

 

 

The Observation Bar & Art Deco Lounge

Nominated for the title of Best Bar in Long Beach for OC Weekly’s Best 2019, the Observation Bar presents 1930s sophistication and style with a modern twist. Formerly The Queen Mary’s First-Class Lounge, the venue served as the hub for lively discussions over delicious drinks. Original artwork still hangs above the bar, which is lined with Art Deco tables, chairs and decor. Completing the 30s look are distinct torchiere lamps, which give the room a soft, retro glow. While you won’t find Winston Churchill at the bar, you will get the best hand crafted cocktails in town. Choose from a bevy of classic signature drinks, beers or fine wines, or enjoy a delicious appetizer like sliders or flatbread, all while basking in the beauty of the setting sun over the Pacific Ocean.

 

 

The Federal

The Federal is a hip gastropub located in a historic former bank building, featuring high ceilings, snazzy chandeliers, and an underground speakeasy – The Parlour – which is open every Friday and Saturday starting at 9pm. Ask your server for the password. The Federal offers dinner, weekend brunch and Happy Hour Thursday – Saturday from 5-7pm

 

 

Roscoe’s Seabird Jazz Lounge
